Clinical Supervision for Counsellors

Supervision is an ethical requirement for counsellors and vital for your practice.

Using a person-centred and non-judgemental approach, I am accepting of whatever a supervisee brings while upholding the ethics of counselling.

As a PACFA qualified supervisor I am attuned to the needs of the supervisee and am keen to meet those needs. I am mindful of ethical issues. I work with supervisees to reflect on counselling sessions and discuss strategies and interventions for future sessions. We also consider how the session was for you as a counsellor.

As an ACA supervisor, Heather follows the Rise-Up model (Relationship Based Integrated Supervision & Education to Unlock Potential). This means that as well as providing support and looking at cases, we might talk about counselling-related skills, your evaluation of your own work, administration matters, education matters or business building.

Every counsellor is different and brings different things to supervision. I welcome each person and their journey and can supervise in small groups as well as individually, face to face, by Skype or by phone.
